Hotmail Setup

Important notice: Microsoft have removed the Outlook.com "connected accounts" feature, which previously allowed Outlook/Hotmail to retrieve emails from external mailboxes. As a result, linking an externally hosted email account to a Hotmail or Outlook.com inbox using POP3 fetch is no longer supported by Microsoft.

POP3 itself is not obsolete and remains widely supported across the email industry, particularly for archiving email off the server. However, customers who wish to continue using Outlook/Hotmail as their mailbox will need to host their email directly with Microsoft (for example, via Microsoft 365 / Outlook-hosted email). Customers who prefer to keep their email hosted with us should access their mailbox using a standard email client via POP3 or IMAP.
